In today’s society, industrial electric furnace has been used increasingly. So the safety problem has become a top priority. The safety operations of furnace are as follows:

First of all, check whether electrical equipment, water cooling system and inductor copper pipe are good or not before starting furnace. Or starting furnace is prohibited.

Second, the furnace chamber should be amended in time when melting loss exceeds stipulation. Melting in the crucible with severe melting loss is prohibited.

Third, there should be professional people responsible for supplying electricity and starting furnace. Contacting inductor and cable is prohibited after supplying electricity. Workers are not allowed to leave the post and should pay attention to the outside situation of inductor and crucible.

Fourth, before loading, check whether there are inflammables, explosives and harmful materials mixed in the furnace materials. If there are, remove them immediately. Adding cold materials and wet materials directly into the molten steel is strictly prohibited. When the upper part is filled with the molten liquid, large blocks are strictly prohibited to be added.

Fifth, scrap iron and iron oxide are strictly prohibited to be mixed when repairing furnace and tamping crucible. The crucible tamping must be tight.

Sixth, there should be no barriers or water in the casting site and the pit in front of the furnace to prevent explosion when molten steel falls.

Seventh, the molten steel is not allowed to be contained too full. When pouring, the two people should be consistent and smooth in walking. Sudden go and stop are not allowed. The residual molten steel should be poured into the designated place after casting.

Eighth, medium frequency generator room should be kept clean. Inflammables, explosives and other sundries are not allowed to enter into the room and indoor smoking is forbidden.
